Play Japanese Games on PS3

Hello, I have a PS3 and I would like to know how to play Japanese games on it. If I import a game from Japan, will I be able to play it or do I need to mod it (like with the PS2) or something else? And if you know where I can get this equipment and the games, thank you for letting me know.

P.S: I would like to be able to play Miku Hatsune: Project Diva

It seems to me that it's doable since PS3 games are not region-locked... I buy my games in the States and they work very well, so I think that if you import a Japanese game, it will work too.

Yes, you can always create an account, so you'll have access to stuff that's only available on the Japanese PSS like that ;)

Thank you, for those who want to play Japanese games, I just found out that you will need to register for the Japanese PSN (Japanese PlayStation Store).

You can play the Japanese game without a Japanese account...
