Watermark impossible to remove!

Hello,
I can't seem to remove a watermark (text in transparent and in this case diagonal) that I have on a few pages of a 250-page document. If I recall correctly, I used Word 2003; now I'm using Word 2007. It also seems that I didn't create this watermark using the "watermark" function in the "page background" section of the "page layout" ribbon, but I can't remember how I did it. Today I want to remove this watermark! I need to submit this research work to the university this week!

Do you have any solution ideas?

Hi
it's a WordArt object inserted in the header of the page; since there is a section break, you need to go into each header, select it, and delete it

  You go to the header and then position your cursor over your "watermark" until it turns into 4 small arrows, then select it and delete it.

Hello

If it's to remove it from all pages, go to the layout tab / watermark / remove the watermark.
If it's not on all pages, please specify

  I don't quite understand what you're describing...
  ...but try this: click in the header of the page: there you can select the watermark which is an image on the background of the page and you can delete it

Hello,
A watermark is still an image with all its possibilities and drawbacks. Has this watermark been positioned in a text box? In that case, it could be grouped with the text box. In this specific case, activate > "ungroup" and you will find your image alone. Otherwise, try copying and pasting your text. It would be surprising if your watermark was included in the copy-paste. Just "messing around"!!! See you later!

If I copy/paste the text from a page, I don't have the watermark in the new document; however, if I copy/paste the text from a page including the page break at the end of it, the watermark appears in the new document. Also, when I print the document, the watermark is not the same as on the screen. On the screen, the watermark is: working document, while in print: c m n d t a a l.

If all of this doesn't work, try inserting a new watermark; it might replace the previous one, and it would then be easy for you to delete it...
You never know!
