Hello,

I have two word processing documents in Open Office. I want to merge them, but when I copy and paste, even with the paste special option, it messes up the entire layout of the document I'm pasting: font, paragraphs, etc...

I don't understand because I wrote both of these documents with Open Office...

Thank you for your help.

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.0.17

Good evening,

We can assume that in the file you are pasting, one or more styles with the same name as the styles in your base file have been modified without being renamed. For example, a style named Normal in your base file, with characteristics such as Times New Roman 12, single spacing, might have different font characteristics, font size, and line spacing in the other file, changes that you made during the writing process.
To remedy the issue, if this is the case, you need to rename the style or styles in the file you are pasting to avoid confusion and to maintain your formatting.

Good evening
Why don't you gather them in a PDF?
See you

Yes, it looks like it's going to end like this because the first proposal, although interesting, seems beyond my reach given my computer skills...

Anyway, thanks for the help!!!
