Because I strongly advise you to change it!

    *******

Avira's Antivir is better than Norton.
If you're interested, uninstall your current one and install Antivir.
Everything is explained in this link, from downloading to configuration.
    Other useful links: HERE
    AND HERE

    ******

    To uninstall Norton:
Follow this procedure to remove all traces of Norton:
    = = = =>>> By clicking here <<<= = = =
Of course, you won't do step 3 of the reinstallation.

Here are some serious links for antivirus comparisons...
    MALEKAL 1
    MALEKAL 2
    http://winnow.oitc.com/AntiVirusPerformance.html
    http://winnow.oitc.com/avmalwarestats.php
    https://www.av-comparatives.org/wp-content/uploads/legacy/pdfs/ondret/avc_report22.pdf

    You’ll find the reasons.
You have some reading to do :D

The most telling are links 3 and 4: Norton is updated much later after the new infection is detected! The responsiveness is low and the detection rate is average.

Let’s not forget that it’s the user who is responsible for their infections.

    You're welcome.
If you want, you can perform a full system scan with up-to-date Antivir and post it here.

    *****

Disable and re-enable your system restore to purge it.
Start > right-click on My Computer, Properties, System Restore tab > Disable System Restore, then Apply and ok, ok.
(Don't forget to reverse the procedure to immediately re-enable it).
