OPEN-OFFICE: separate hundreds from thousands

Hello,
My question is simple: I would like to know how to separate hundreds from thousands in Open Office spreadsheet because I need it for accounting.
For example, for: 10000 I would like the spreadsheet to write it as 10 000
or 100000 so that the spreadsheet writes it as 100 000.
(I tried putting a space but it combines all the numbers when I press enter)
