PS3 controller connection

Hello,
I have 2 PS3 controllers. The first one is perfectly connected wirelessly to the PS3, and yesterday I bought a new one (it's a Subsonic). When I press to connect it, it lights up but flashes on the first two lights of player 1 and 2 and stays like that without switching to 2.
What should I do? Thanks in advance.
Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 3.0.13

Hello everyone,

Having struggled online in vain to find a solution to my PS3 controller connection problem, but finally managed to find the solution, I will explain it to you; it will surely help someone, someday.

So, here’s how to resynchronize PS3 controllers that won’t connect via Bluetooth.

- Turn on the PS3
- Connect the controller to be synchronized with a USB cable, and press the PS button once to turn it on
- Then turn off the console with the controller by doing the following: long press on the PS button of the controller, then "Turn Off System".
- When the console is off, press the PS button of the controller (still connected with the cable) once; this will turn on the PS3 and synchronize the controller.
Once the system is on and the controller's light is steady, unplug it, and voila, it works!!!!

In the end, it worked perfectly for me and my 2 controllers are functioning again after 2 weeks of playing wired!!!!

Best of luck to everyone!

Hello Doud, and thank you for the time spent helping novices like me!
So, I'm following the instructions clearly described in your post to the letter; the first part of the installation goes well (turning off the console with the new controller via USB cable)... however, just where it says to restart the console while holding down the PS button on the controller still connected via USB, nothing happens! No reaction or light on!
What should I do? I've been struggling with it for 2 hours already and my kids are getting impatient, thank you for your help!
