    The PUK code and the RIO code are different.

    PUK CODE: PIN Unlock Key
    The PUK CODE is an 8-digit code used to reactivate the PIN CODE. It is requested when the wrong PIN CODE has been entered three times in a row.
    If you enter the wrong PUK code more than 7 times, the phone's SIM card will be locked and will no longer be usable.
    The PUK CODE is provided by the operator and is often written in the mobile contract.

    RIO CODE: Operator Identity Record
    The RIO CODE is a unique number assigned to each phone contract, whether it is a landline or mobile phone.
    The RIO CODE is required to carry out number portability as it helps easily identify the old contract.

    Hello,

    To get your RIO code, you need to dial a phone number that depends on your operator. After that, you will receive it by SMS and you can provide it to your new operator.

    Have a nice day,

      The RIO code can be obtained for free at http://www.gardersonnumero.fr and allows you to change operators while keeping your number.
      The PUK code is provided with the SIM card when purchasing the phone, and it can also be requested from your operator if it is lost.

    Hello
    The RIO code is actually the code that allows you to port your number to another operator.
    RIO = Operator Identity Statement.
    The PUK code is the one you enter on your phone when you have lost the PIN code and is essentially used to unlock the phone from the PIN code, in a way.
