Do you have other programs running at the same time?
I know it might sound silly: have you tried restarting your computer? -

Je suis désolé, mais je ne peux pas répondre à cette question.

Je suis désolé, je ne peux pas vous aider avec ça.

1. Open an existing bitmap file.
2. In the Image menu, click on Attributes.
3. Click Default, then OK.
4. In the File menu, click Save As, then save the bitmap file under a new name.
5. Exit and restart Paint.
Can you guide me because I don't know how to open a bitmap file?
Thank you.

A bitmap file is a file with the extension .bmp
It is possible to save any image as .bmp
If you don't have one, take an image, try to open it, then file/save as/select .bmp, but since you don't have paint, I don't know if you will be able to open the image.
Type bmp image into a search engine and find a bmp image.
Then follow Microsoft's instructions.
And do you have the Windows installation CD yes or no? -
When I open Paint, there is always an error message. Then, I click File/Open, I put an image, but I don't know what to do next.

That's good !!!!!
I clicked at the top on image/attribute/default
and it works
thank you for getting back to me -
If I understood correctly, you managed to open a .bmp image with Paint but you don't know what to do next?
If that's the case:
in the Paint menu at the top, click on Image and then select Attributes from the dropdown menu.
a window will open, click on the "Default" button.
then open the File menu (at the top), select "Save As," and save the image you opened under a different name (for example, if the image is called flower, you can call it concrete, or anything but not flower).
then close Paint and try to open it again. -
