I just want to know how to disable Deep Freeze - I mean disable it and not uninstall it or disable it permanently. What I want is to disable it with the option to enable it at will - the problem is that I don't remember the password, and it's not all, my version is shareware so it has been expired for ages, but the thing is it works as if nothing happened.

To uninstall Deep Freeze
1) Press alt+ctrl+shift+f6.
2) Then type your password; if you don't have a password, click OK without typing anything.
3) After that, choose the 3rd icon and click OK.
4) Restart your machine.
5) After the restart, the Deep Freeze icon on the taskbar should be accompanied by a red cross.
6) Click on Start, Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, select Deep Freeze, and click on Remove.

Hello everyone, I have a big problem that you could help me solve.
I installed Deep Freeze, I managed to delete the Faronics folder without uninstalling it, and yet my computer is still freezing!!! So all the symptoms of Deep Freeze at startup, meaning no software or anything else installed before reboot.
I no longer have the Faronics folder in Program Files, nor the executable running in Task Manager, but in Control Panel > Administrative Tools > System, there is still DF5serv and some keys in the registry. No matter how much I delete and disable, nothing works. I tried Unfreeze to uninstall, but it doesn't find it on the computer, and when I try to install Deep Freeze, it tells me it needs to be disabled (so it's still active). I also tried changing the date in my BIOS, RegCleaner, and many other things, but nothing works. If someone could help me, that would be super nice. Thanks in advance for the responses.

How to disable DF ?? First, go to the folder [C:\Program Files\Faronics\Deep Freeze Enterprise] and double-click the executable: DFAdmin5.exe A DF window will appear. Open the file DepFrz.rdx (file/open configuration file) then select the configuration tab at the top and the password tab at the bottom. Box 1 should be checked and the password is indicated next to it. Then close this window and press the keys Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F6 and enter the provided password. Select the Boot Thawed box, then OK. All you have to do now is restart the PC. Have fun !!
