Bonjour,
voila les performance de mon PC:
systeme:
microsoft windows xp
familiale
version 2002
service pack 2
intel[R]
celeron [R] CPU 2.60Hz
2.60Hz, 736Mo de RAM (1 barette de 256Mo + 1 de 1Gb)
avec ca que pensez vous que je puisse faire pour augmenter ses capacités?
toutes vos idées seront les miennes et merci par avance de vos reponses

tu peux déjà rajouter la ram, et au passage pour avoir en tout 736 mo de ram tu dois avoir une barrette de 256 et une 512 mo et non de 1 Go. Il faudrait voir combien ta carte mère pourrait supporter de ram, le mieux étant de mettre 2x1 Go de ram pour être tranquille avec XP.
Je te renvoies donc comme Nabla's à télécharger Everest pour avoir plus d'info sur ta carte mère et sur ta config en général ^^

ca risque de vite couer cher si tu veux vraiment le mettre a niveau. Peut etre est il temps de changer CM / RAM / Proc (enfin, prendre un nouveau PC quoi ...)

Donc à part acheter une nouvelle carte mère et ce qui suit avec, je vois pas trop...

enfin, tout dépend de l'utilisation!
si ca se trouve, un bon nétoyage du systeme peut aider...
si ca carte mere accepte les proc hyperthread, il peut prendre un bon p4E, d'occaz sur ebay, ca a des bonnes performances pour des veieux PC ;) (c'est ce que j'ai a domicile comme PC principal: p4E 3Ghz hyperthread: 1 core, mais vu comme un dualcore par le systeme-> gain de performances non négligeable...)
tant qu'il ne fait pas de jeux, je dirai qu'il peut quand meme garder son pc.. il doit pouvoir suffir

En tout cas, si il doit acheter un P4, il faudrait qu'il dépense le moins possible car il pourrait trés bien tenir avec ce pc, surtout pour une utilisation internet/bureautique et essayer d'économiser le plus possible pour changer radicalement son pc.

non désolé je ne suis pas parti en vacance mais je pensai pas que j'aurai eu autant de reponse en si peu de temps,
alors pour commencer je tien a vous remercié pour tous, ensuite voila ce que je souahite faire de mon pc

oui, il est possible qu'en flashant le bios, le problème soit résolu. ceci dit, fais attention en flashant le bios, c'est une opération "risquée". Fais bien une sauvegarde de ton ancien bios ... en esperant que tu trouves une version corrigée sur le site du constructeur de ta carte mere
ensuite, pour netoyer, je croi que l'utilisation de CCleaner peut faire du bien. Je ne connais pas ce logiciel, mais en ai entendu parler plusieurs fois ici
au pire, fais un raport hijackthis et envoies le ... (par contre, c'set ps moi qui le lirai)

sinon tu peux penser à linux il fait des miracle sur les vieilles machines surtout les distrib leger comme puppylinux

j'ai 256 mo et une swap de 256mo
et ça va très vite en ram !
on peut faire une install frugale pour n avoir pas a utiliser le disque de boot...

Franchement quelle est utilité de prendre le risque de bousiller sa carte mère pour trés peu de performances en plus...
Moi je te conseille de laisser ton pc comme il est et d'économiser pour te prendre un nouveau pc.
De plus, tu pourras toujours le revendre alors que si tu l'abimes...

c'est vrai que flasher comporte des risques
néanmoins, certaines cartes meres possèdent une méthode de récupération de bios en cas de crash: d'ou l'interet de sauvegarder le bios avant de flasher.
il m'est arrivé de planter plusieurs flashages, et c'est vrai que sans utilitaires c'est plutot acrobatique pour reflasher....
il serait bien d'avoir al référence de la carte mere pour en savoir plus... es ce qu'on pourrait avoir un rapport everest ?
