Hi. For free, you have Open Office, which is the free equivalent of Microsoft Office.

Hello,
It is not possible to obtain it for free legally.
However, CCM remains within the law.
Here’s why you need to pay for what must be paid (Microsoft Office is not a "Free" product):

However, there are periodic "Offers" made by Microsoft at a price much more affordable than the standard product, for example Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007: check it out.

    Hi Baye,
    You can still try to download the first update (SP1) of MS Office 2003: it might work if the installer finds an "acceptable" trace of MS Office 2003 on your PC.
    Otherwise, you can contact Microsoft support and submit your problem to them: gather evidence of your good faith beforehand.
    Be careful though, as it's not very appropriate to have "lent" your original CD to a friend. Put yourself in Microsoft's shoes: it looks very much like passive complicity in piracy.
