Hello,
When I play The Sims 2 I can't type codes (which is very annoying! :( ) because my shift key doesn't work. What should I do?!

PS: It's a laptop.

Thanks in advance for your replies! =)
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

Hi, sorry but I think there are no other solutions than not using codes. And since you have a laptop, I'm going to ask you something. I also have a laptop, but my Sims are glitching, there are lines all over the screen, does it happen to you?

ps :: if anyone finds a solution for the shift key?!

No, it doesn't give me lines along the screen.

Ok, it must be the configuration of my computer, otherwise sorry I haven't found your key yet.

Hello,
On my laptop, I have 2 shift keys. One under the caps lock, at the bottom left, and one below the enter key. I think that even if it's not the same key, it's still "shift" and that the codes will work with it.
I hope I helped you.

Yes, it's the same key, I completely forgot about that one. Just try Juléa and let us know if it works or not.

I have the same issue; I have a laptop and in a Flash game of Prince of Persia, to walk you have to press shift, and it doesn't work.

I don't know if you thought about it, so I'm mentioning it just in case: when you play at home, you just need to plug in the first USB keyboard you find.

I have a relevant solution to your problem. The best thing is that you start by stopping playing The Sims, it usually works. Good luck!

Hello, at least you know which one it is?
If you don't know, here it is
to the left of the keyboard under the shift lock key with an upward arrow and also to the right under the enter key

Hi! I have the same problem as you, but don't worry, I'm not just here to tell you that.

I also have a laptop, and both of my shift keys are not working. But I use a USB keyboard (device) and there, you navigate without any problem. I hope it can solve your issues.

I bought mine for 30 Euros, which is quite a lot, I admit.

But otherwise, go to the store where you bought it and ask them to fix the shift key. If your warranty has expired, you will also have to pay.

I hope I helped you.
