Hi - I am having a problem on Windows XP where I cannot install or delete any programs. I can download programs but then nothing...

When I try to install nothing happens for a few minutes and then an error message comes up
'Windows Installer Serice could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance.'

I am not running in safe mode and unfortunetly I don't have any support personell so that brings me here

You can try to repair yur installation of Windows XP, to do this, boot on yur windows cd and follow the assistant when it told yu, press R to repair windows. This may repair all yur damage files in windows but yu'll lose all yur parameters but not yur softwares and files. Hope this'll help yu.
