A very, very great giant of Indian cinema has passed away, and I learned about it 14 days later; this is not normal. It is, of course, Shammi Kapoor. It’s because of him that we loved India. It’s not kind and it’s not serious to let his death go by in silence like this.
Hello, there are Indian shops everywhere in big cities in Lyon for example, you can find Indian movie DVDs for 5 EUROS and subtitled in French!!! You can also find them in the markets for 3 euros! I have some Hindu films if you're interested, leave me a message on the site, Nathalie.

Hi Nathalie, it's been a while, but you said you had Indian films. If so, which ones? I love this genre of film. I've already seen Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Shakti, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Zamana Deewana, and Ram Jaane. If you had a way to send me Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, I would be eternally grateful. Thanks anyway, bye.

Thank you very much. I have this problem too; I want to buy Indian movies in French, but I can't find them online, and I’m not in France, I’m in Italy. If I can buy the movies you have already watched, please reply so we can get in touch. Thank you for your response.

In Paris, between Porte de la Chapelle and Gare du Nord, there are shops that sell Indian films. Unfortunately, I only know of this place. In the provinces, I have never found anything.
Please help me!!!! I am looking for a very good Indian film. It's the story of two women who are friends in love with the same man. One he met in a kind of cabaret; she is a dancer. The other one discovers she is sick with a brain tumor. She finds out she is pregnant. The sick woman is going to marry the man, and on her wedding day, her dancer friend performs for her dressed in blue. I believe it is on her wedding day that she faints and discovers the tumor. She then asks her dancer friend to marry the man and take her child. Have you heard of this film?!!!!!
I really like Indian movies and I watch them on Zee Arabia.
Asiexpo
Hello,
I am part of an association called Asiexpo that has been creating numerous events throughout Lyon to promote and disseminate Asian culture, particularly Indian. Every year, for the past 15 years, we organize a short and feature film festival themed around Asia. Around this, about ten events are organized: from Afghan tea concerts to Japanese cinema nights, including an introductory workshop on Indian dance... You will also find on our website https://asiexpo.fr/ a shop offering books, magazines, DVDs, CDs, posters, and a diverse range of accessories. On Sunday, April 26, we are organizing, in partnership with the art-house cinema Comoedia, a day dedicated to Asian books and film posters.
2nd DAY OF BOOKS & ASIAN CINEMA POSTERS the largest bookstore in France dedicated to HK cinema, Bollywood, Japanime, J-Music, ... Sunday, April 26, 2009, from 11 AM to 9 PM Cinema Comoedia - Meeting space, 13 av Berthelot, 69007 Lyon.
More than 300 books in French or English, new, used, or imports, some of which are very rare or old, posters, magazines, artbooks, CDs, DVDs, ...
During this unique day, you can also (in no particular order): - clear your shelves and let others benefit from them in the exchange space - get a book signed by one of the attending authors - have a drink while chatting with other fans - enjoy some treats - watch a film among the fifteen (not all Asian) that will be screened that day: a unique showing at 5 PM of Jodhaa Akbar for Bollywood lovers or the curious, the latest film from the director of Swades and Lagaan.
Of course, you can also stay in front of your TV or computer; there are really fun programs that day: cuddling up, gardening, skiing, cleaning, DIYing,... it's not too bad also for another Sunday... As for the one on April 26, you know what you have to do...

It's really too bad!!! Fanaa just aired on Arté this week in French audio with Hindi songs and French subtitles!!... and it was free.. Since Arté often rebroadcasts films a few days later in the evening or very early in the morning (depending on your perspective... :p) with a bit of luck you might still catch it and record it..
Good luck A++
