Facing the heatwave, it is difficult to refresh your home. Air conditioning is effective but costly. A fan appears as a less energy-intensive alternative, provided it is used correctly. Contrary to a common belief, the fan does not lower the temperature but circulates the air and speeds up the evaporation of sweat, creating a sensation of coolness. It is useless to leave it running in an empty room. To optimize its use, you can place a bottle of frozen water or a wet sheet in front of it. To refresh a room, a counter-intuitive technique is to point the fan outward, facing an open window, while leaving another opening so that fresh outside air can enter.     Stop saying nonsense, a 3.5kW air conditioner consumes about 700W/h and 6kW on average over 24h, so 400W/h and it really gives you a cooling effect and it’s the only effective way right now to lower the temperature of a living room, as for heating the outside air that’s also a big joke from a primary eco at zero brains, because the heat that comes out of the outdoor unit of the AC is ambient heat and we’re only moving it around, I’m ready to bet that the person who writes this nonsense about the AC at home. Get real information before writing anything and think of people with respiratory suffering and other health problems. Look for a solution to prevent wildfires which themselves produce heat and real pollution, there you’ll be useful.

      about c... the air conditioning will try to move the hot air from inside to outside but regardless of the dwelling concerned the outside air is warmed, it remains to know if the influence is significant according to the number of air conditioners and their (industrial) power implemented in a given area.

      And about forest fires we eagerly await your solutions when we know that aside from natural phenomena (lightning) they are due to 90% to human activity (cigarette butts, glass shards, barbecue, DIY, lack of clearing, poorly maintained cars, slash-and-burn... ).

      The benefits of air conditioning, especially for vulnerable people, cannot be contested where ventilation whose main effect is to make noise can be contested but that is another question.
