The justice system is waging a fierce war against pirate IPTV, targeting not only the providers but also the customers. With hundreds of paid channels and thousands of video content, IPTV represents a cheap alternative to official offerings. However, this practice is often used to illegally stream copyrighted content. Authorities are now able to monitor the IP addresses associated with these illegal services and, in case of prosecutions, users face up to seven years in prison and a fine of 750,000 euros in case of reoffending as part of an organized group. Have you ever heard of IPTV and how do you perceive this new trend?

Hello "TONY" and welcome as a new member. A bit of news if you want to read me: you are sawing off the branch you are sitting on. Are you following the news? Many artists no longer sell enough records and no longer tour to make a living from their work. A few top stars are managing, but football and rugby clubs rely on contracts with pay television channels to keep their clubs and training centers running. Every job deserves a salary, and if we understand that, we can continue to see singers, actors, and films on television.

Remember to mark "resolved" on your message if that's the case.

Almost every day we have the right to this kind of article, it’s getting ridiculous. Keep scaring us, we will keep using IP-TV. Call us thieves if you like but stop treating us like idiots and at least do your job properly by putting an end to your fake news. If the legal operators stop treating us like cash cows and raising prices annually, you’ll see things will improve.

Even if you don't like it, we don't see what's going on in terms of Fake News.

We still don't know how the law in question will be implemented, which, if I understood correctly, has only been adopted by the Senate for now, but we have nothing to lose by waiting, and of course we doubt that the maximum penalties will be applied to an occasional user.

The fact that a certain number of contents have prohibitive pricing is one thing, but this is not the case for all; subscriptions to several platforms cost around the price of a cinema ticket per month, and there’s nothing to say I can go to the movies for free or ten times a month if my budget doesn’t allow it.

Even if these prices were to decrease, but operators are usually not to blame, it's the rights holders who are compensated; to be honest, most IPTV users would continue not to pay: you are not treated as a thief for that, you are one.
