Hello,

If I search for my wife's name, who is a writer, a Google snippet appears at the top of the results page with her age.
She wants to have this information removed.
We sent a request to Google without any result.
Do you know how to proceed to remove this information?
Thank you.

      Hello,

I don't see what is so confidential about his date of birth.

If it's a "Google listing," it's a "business listing" that we created ourselves; we can just modify or delete it.

If it's a result from a Google search, it couldn't have been invented.

Either we provided our date of birth ourselves on a third-party site from which it was extracted, and we can always try to request a de-indexing from Google, but also correct this information on the relevant sites.

Or we are someone with a certain level of notoriety and this date of birth was obtained from the public domain (from books or press, for example).

In the latter case, it is pretty much impossible to make this information disappear; see, for example:

Thank you for these answers. The article from Presse-citron is enlightening.

Indeed, Google has sourced information from the web. However, we are sometimes compelled to enter information that we may consider confidential (everyone has their own assessment of what is confidential or not) on sites (SNCF, airlines...) that may have been sold to third parties...
