Audacity "Cannot open target file for writing"

Hello,

I have registered a new version of Audacity. Since then, when I modify an MP3 music file and try to export it to replace the old one, I get the message "Unable to open the target file for writing". Can someone help to resolve this issue? Thank you in advance!

    This could be an issue with file access permissions on your computer. Check that you have the necessary permissions to read and write to the file in question.

    If the problem persists, try closing all other programs that might be using the file. Sometimes, a file cannot be modified because it is in use by another program.

    Another possibility is that the file format you are trying to export is not supported by Audacity. In this case, try converting the file to a different format before exporting it.

    Finally, make sure you are using the latest version of the software. There may be a bug in a previous version of Audacity that has been fixed in a later update.
