Mac mini M1 or M2?

Hello, should I choose a used Mac Mini M1 with 16GB RAM, or a base configuration Mac Mini M2 with 8GB RAM?
That would be for 4K video editing on DaVinci Resolve.
Which of the two is more powerful for my use?
I have a maximum budget of €700.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
For 4K video editing in Davinci Resolve, you need 16 GB of RAM or more.

Hello,
The power of the processor is certainly important when editing video because it shortens processing times.
But what is also, or even more important, is the amount of RAM: 8GB is a real minimum for everyday use. Editing video with 4K resolution requires much more than 8GB and 16GB becomes the minimum-minimum!!
Knowing that on almost all of today’s Macs it is impossible to add RAM or increase SSD capacity (because everything is soldered onto the motherboard), one can frankly and sincerely wonder if it might not be better for you to buy another brand of computer much cheaper and still upgradeable.
And this is especially true in your case: you would have been a fan of iMovie or Final Cut Pro applications designed by Apple, so I would have understood your dilemma with a Mac mini M1/16GB and an M2/8GB. But there, you say you want to use the DaVinci Resolve application which isn’t even designed by Apple. The Windows or Linux world doesn’t attract you?
