My Snap call disconnects when I exit the app.

Hello, I'm having a problem that I've had since I got Snapchat. Every time I'm on a call with someone and I want to leave the app without closing it (to switch to another app, etc.), my call ends with only an indication of a Wi-Fi logo on my Bitmoji. I don't know if it's just me, but I hope someone can find a solution.
