Notification delay issue.

Hello,
I have a problem with a conversation on Messenger. I often find that the message notification arrives delayed. Like an hour after the person has sent me a message. Is it possible that this is due to the long conversation that I have never deleted?
And that due to lack of space there might be a bug???? Thank you in advance for your responses.

Configuration: Android / Chrome 87.0.4280.141

    The classic steps:
    1) Restart the phone
    2) Clear the app cache.
    If that’s not enough

    3) Uninstall and reinstall.
