Has anyone ever dealt with Global Express Shipping Services? They tried to extort €1000 from me for a so-called package coming from the United States. The company is based in Brussels. Has anyone had any experience with them?

  Hello, thank you: the situation is this: I agreed to receive a package at my home, but I am not the sender, who is American and is coming to France... (I have his identity, address, phone number).... The company Global Express in Brussels (does it exist? I can't find it on the internet) refuses to give me information but asks me to pay €1000 by crediting an account... I only provided my address for this package; I think I am a victim of a scam... thank you for your help.

    As Afrikarnak has already responded, you should definitely not send anything.
    
    If you send them the €1000, you will not see it again.
    
    So do nothing.
    Forget about it, delete the conversations...

Then, if I understand correctly, you received an email from this company asking you to pay €1000 for a package that you never ordered, and that no one has sent you (to your knowledge).

  Hello. M contacted me on Smulle (American engineer profile...)
  
  He wants to come to France for a vacation. And also send me a package. The global express problem in Brussels is asking me for €1000. To secure it, I have to deposit it in a fake account in the name of Geboerts Kathleen. At KBC Bank, of course, it's a scam. They are in it together. New fake profile on Smulle for M and also on Hangouts. In any case, beware of global express Brussels!!!

Hello, M contacted me on Smulle (American engineer profile). He insists on going to Hangouts. He wants to send me a package to collect money for a vacation in France. In the end, I have to pay a deposit of €1000 to retrieve it. The company (globalexpressshippî***@***. Company based in Brussels. I need to credit a fake account Geboerts Cathreen KBC bank. I communicated via emails with fake invoices... but everything is false. On Smulle, M changed his profile... On Smulle... and on Hangouts too. He is very manipulative!! Of course, they are in cahoots!!! Beware of Global Services Brussels. Scam, I suspected that.

  Of course, do not cash it, its amount would disappear in a few days (Going into 'settlement'..) and, to top it all off, there is a possibility of being summoned by the Police (Investigation into a network using stolen checks..).
  
  But you probably suspected it!
  
  The REAL Global Service does exist in Belgium, its name has been usurped..

I have a problem with the real Global Service Shipping, which is threatening me with customs issues by indicating suspicious packages to customs; they operate with customs...

I paid €20 for a 30g package, and they are blocking the package in Limoges with customs, demanding what they call stamps (4 stamps of €50, totalling €200) to release my package which costs €220! That would make it €440 instead of €240 (including shipping)...

They are mobsters.

  A freight forwarder does not indicate "suspicious packages," as it would not be in their interest; they simply make the customs declaration for any (legal) item they are required to.
  
  Even if they did not, customs can initiate a verification on their own.
  
  It is unclear what kind of extortion is involved here; it is the buyer's responsibility to check these customs fees.

    Moreover, I don't know of any item that faces customs duties of 1000%.
    
    We would then be more likely dealing with fines and penalties for an item whose importation is illegal.
