Find the Python installation directory Solved

Hello!
My problem is quite simple: in my program, I need to use the command
python -i script_name, but unfortunately, Python is not added to the PATH on all PCs, so I’m wondering how to find the folder where Python is installed.

On a console, you can run "where python" and all the locations with the python command will be listed.

I tried, it works correctly, but I don’t know how to retrieve its return value in my program and avoid that a console window opens every time my program starts. How to do it?

Hello,  We should consider creating a batch file that would find the Python executable and then launch your Python script. Or it could add the path of the Python executable to the Windows PATH.

I just found the variable sys.executable which allows me to get the full path of the Python interpreter, it's exactly what I needed! Issue resolved!
