Hello. I'm in the same situation as you. I left Facebook in March 2018 but discovered four months later that you could sign up for Messenger without a Facebook account. When I add a story, it appears on my account after sending. But when I click on it, I get an error message "Addition impossible. Tap to retry." In fact, as the author of the story, you can see it, but your contacts who you granted access to cannot. Moreover, if you try to forward the story, you receive a message "An error occurred. Please try again later." So either it's due to a restriction related to our account (not registered on Facebook), and in that case, I don't see the point in offering us the unnecessary option of a story. Or it's related to the implementation of the new interface rolled out over the past six months (with updates), and in that case, it's a bug. I want to clarify that when I signed up in July 2018, my first stories seemed to be viewable by some of my contacts who reacted to them.
