Hello,

It seems that my primary email account has been hacked: every time I attempt to send an email, I receive an error message indicating that my machine is sending unsolicited emails???
My internet browsing also seems very slow.
Am I a victim of a virus?

Thank you in advance.

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 63.0

    Hi,

    We lack information.
What are you sending from? Gmail? Hotmail? A client on your computer?
Can you provide the complete message?

To check the computer, I invite you to do this FRST analysis and send back the reports:

Follow the FRST tutorial. ( take the time to read carefully - everything is well explained ).

Download and run the FRST scan,
Wait for the scan to finish, a message will indicate that the analysis is complete.

Three FRST reports will be generated:
    • FRST.txt
    • Shortcut.txt
    • Additional.txt

Send these 3 reports to the site https://pjjoint.malekal.com/ to share them.
In return, provide the 3 pjjoint links leading to the reports here in a new response so that we can review them.

Thank you for considering my request.

I use Thunderbird software to send my emails.

The error message is as follows:

An error occurred while sending the mail. The mail server responded: 5.7.1 <xxxxx@bbox.fr>: Sender address rejected: REJECT Your machine is sending unsolicited mails, please contact customer service. Please check that your email address in the account settings is correct and try again.

Below are the links to the reports

    Additional report.txt

    I don't have a Shortcut.txt report??

    Thank you again.

    Not infected.

Check the configuration of your accounts, especially the SMTP server.
    Are you using Bouygues' server?

You have programs that were installed when you purchased the computer or installed later that are not necessarily useful.
They clutter Windows and can slow it down.
    You can uninstall them.
    Go to the Control Panel
    then Programs and Features.
    Uninstall:

Avira since you already have Norton.
    CCleaner
    CyberLink

PS: CCleaner is not really useful, even though it’s recommended everywhere.
If you want to keep it, disable CCleaner's monitoring; it’s unnecessary and starts up with Windows, slowing it down with its constant cleanups, see: https://www.malekal.com/supprimer-ccleaner-demarrage-windows/

    Thank you;

    - In fact, I have always had AVIRA but my partner installed NORTON, which one should I keep?
    - For C-CLEANER, I removed the monitoring option, but I kept it (I use it especially to clean the registry and remove some stubborn programs)
    - I deleted CyberLink (with C-Cleaner by the way)

I checked: the SMTP server is smtp.bbox.fr (the same as my other email account that works perfectly)

Having two antivirus programs is not good.
Send a test email with a simple message without a link.

    Hello,
    It's a bit of a panic:
    following your message
I'm uninstalling Norton antivirus online, my wife gets up and tells me that she had taken out a subscription for this software (€5 per month)
so I'm trying to reinstall Norton, but to activate my subscription I'm being asked for a 13-digit PIN code that my wife never had?!?!
I stop the process of reinstalling Norton Security online.
I uninstall Norton antivirus online again: no problem but I notice that there are still non-empty folders on my disk "Norton Security Scan" and "NortonInstaller"
So I try to uninstall Norton Security Scan (which must have been installed with Norton antivirus online)
The uninstallation from the start menu (I launch the program "uninstall Norton") doesn't work: nothing happens.
So I try uninstalling with C-Cleaner, which tells me that an uninstallation program is already in progress?!?
I go through the task manager and indeed there's a Norton process running
I end the process and restart the uninstallation from C-Cleaner, and after a first confirmation screen for deletion, I'm stuck on the second screen "preparing uninstallation"
I don't really know what to do: these Norton programs (provided by BOUYGUES) don't please me. On the other hand, since they are paid and offered by my internet provider, are they more effective than Avira (which is free)?

    Thanks again for your help.

P.S. the last sent emails are test emails (empty with just the title 'test') sent to the 2nd mailbox that works for sending and receiving)
but the 2nd mailbox is flooded with unwanted emails with future dates??)

You just have to cancel the subscription.
      Otherwise, to uninstall Norton: https://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/3151-desinstaller-norton-symantec
For the key, if you want to reinstall it, contact Symantec support.

As for your emails, I don't have any other ideas than that; maybe your email address is blacklisted.
      That could be temporary.
You should contact Bouygues customer service.
Also, try sending an email from the Bouygues website.
Maybe you'll need to recreate the account on Thunderbird otherwise.

    Good evening,
I am trying to get in touch with the hotline.
Sending an email from the Bouygues website doesn't work either...

As for recreating an account on Thunderbird, it's the main account that isn't working, and I’m afraid of losing all my old emails during the process..

ok never mind for Thunderbird, if it doesn't work from the site.
Your address is probably on a blacklist.
      Maybe you should wait.
Didn't they give you a solution at the hotline?

Do you have another computer that might be infected?
