Hello,
I was looking at the task manager, then I saw wusvcs, and I was wondering what it is, so I searched on Google. Following that, several links mentioned viruses, including Symantec. I just want to know what this is.
Thank you :)
Configuration: Windows / Chrome 68.0.3440.106

Hello,
wscsvc = Security Center:
The WSCSVC service (Windows Security Center) monitors and displays the security integrity settings of the computer. Integrity settings include those of the firewall (enabled/disabled), antivirus (enabled/disabled/expired), anti-spyware software (enabled/disabled/expired), Windows Update (automatic/manual download and installation of updates), User Account Control (enabled/disabled), and Internet settings (recommended/not recommended). The service provides COM APIs for independent software vendors to register and report the status of their products to the Security Center service. The user interface of the Security and Maintenance feature uses the service to provide alerts in the notification area and a graphical view of the security integrity status in the Security and Maintenance control panel. Network Access Protection (NAP) uses the service to report the security integrity status of clients to the NPS (Network Policy Server) and make network quarantine decisions. The service also contains a public API that allows external consumers to programmatically retrieve the consolidated security integrity status of the system.
