    Yes, "informatics" can be abbreviated as "info"; however, it should not be confused with the abbreviation for the word "information," although the two are related.

      You have the English acronym "IT," which stands for Information Technology. It's the only one I can think of.

    As Mottiera says, "info" is the customary abbreviation for computer science... An abbreviation that serves the purpose of shortening a word, (like "réfri" for "réfrigérateur") and this in a specific context allowing to understand what it is about while limiting confusions (even if they are still possible) and this is validated by usage and not by precise rules...

    To my knowledge, there are no other abbreviations for "computer science", however, the field of computer science is full of abbreviations, but that is jargon....
