Excel: formula if cell background is colored

Hello, is it possible in Excel to create the following formula:
If the background color of cell A1 is colored, then A2 takes the value of that cell, otherwise 0.

It's quite complicated.
There is no Excel function that can read a color.
You would need to create a macro in VBA...
