Excel: formula if cell background is colored

Question

Hello, is it possible in Excel to create the following formula: If the background color of cell A1 is colored, then A2 takes the value of that cell, otherwise 0. Thank you.  Configuration: Windows / Edge 14.14393

There is a feasible solution, provided that you fill your cells with conditional formatting, and not with the mouse and the "Fill Color" icon...  -- Retirement is great! Especially in the Caribbean... :-) Raymond (INSA, AFPA, CF/R)

Hello,  Really no one to help me lol It's not very surprising because your request does not align with Excel principles. Certainly in VBA, you can set A2 to the value of A1 if color but - is it really the range that interests you? probably elsewhere and the VBA will need to be modified - if you color A1, Excel will in no way be able to trigger the update of A2 because it is not an event for Excel.
