How to uninstall Avidemux?

Hello,

I installed Avidemux 2.6 a little while ago and I want to uninstall it because I'm not using it after all.

I'm on Windows XP.

I tried to remove it from Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs but the software is not listed among the programs.
I attempted a forceful deletion from C > Program Files but my computer returns an error message saying that it cannot delete certain files (and in fact, it doesn't delete anything at all!)

Does anyone know how to uninstall Avidemux please?

    Hi,

    Usually through the file "C:\Program Files\Avidemux 2.6 - 32 bits\uninstall.exe"

    If the program is not running, you should be able to delete its folder.

    Have you tried restarting?

    Thank you Fabul for your response!

    Unfortunately, I don't have an uninstall.exe file in that folder, nor any subfolders after a quick look.

    Would it be effective if I reinstalled Avidemux by downloading it again? The uninstallation file might be there?

    Yes, you can perhaps reinstall it on top.

    OK, if there's nothing simpler, I'll give it a shot as soon as I have some time on my hands; I'll let you know how it goes.
