Open a .DB file to retrieve saved data

Good evening,
For work, I use an Android application to record my hours, which saves everything in a ".DB" file.
The problem is that I want to open this data on my computer but have not succeeded yet. I tried using software like Microsoft SQL Server 2014, without success. When I try to open the file with a text editor (Notepad++), I can't extract the data even after searching through all the unreadable characters and such.
Thank you, and if you know of a good (better) application to record hours and then easily send them to an employer, I’m interested!
