PS3 Controller Battery on PS4 Controller

Hello,
My Playstation 4 controller is no longer charging...
It heats excessively when I try to charge it, the problem is definitely with the controller because the USB ports are functional (mp4 and phone charge just fine)
I then tried with another Sony cable and then a Samsung cable to conclude that the problem indeed came from the controller...
I should note for the record that this is my third controller purchased in just 7 months...
The price of a PS4 controller being what it is, I have contacted Sony's customer service this time to explain my problem...
They are asking me to send it to them, the shipping costs are on them, but my controller may be with them for 21 days before they send me back a new or repaired controller
Patience not being my strong suit, I thought about replacing the PS4 controller's battery with a battery from my PS3 controllers
Can someone tell me if this is possible?
I asked a Sony technician over the phone who couldn't give me an answer but didn’t discourage me either... (It could solve your problem if the batteries are compatible... he told me)
Of course, I’m aware that if I unscrew my PS4 controller, the warranty will be void...
Has anyone ever seen a DS3 battery and a DS4 battery side by side?
Do they have the same dimensions?
The same amperage?
