Format file (bmp/jef)

I have a new embroidery software, machine customizer 1000 plus for a Janome 350e. The provided embroideries (flower icon) are in .jef format. When I launch the software via Easy Import and open the embroidery, I consistently get the message "file.bmp not found" and therefore do not obtain the image that would allow me to modify the embroidery motif.
Can a BMP file be created from the JEF file, or is there another workaround?
Thank you
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Good day, I would like to download a Janome customizer software to do embroidery. Thank you for replying.
Hello
I’m looking for a good embroidery software and I have two questions:
Is there a software that allows you to create your own motifs (transforming image files into files for a embroidery machine), specifically for the Janome 200 embroidery machine?
Next, from the chosen software, can you create embroidery files in formats other than the ones provided?
For example, Pedesign is designed for Brother machines, but can the files be converted so they also fit embroidery machines from other brands?
Finally, does the maximum embroidery size depend on the machine or on the software?
Thanks in advance for helping me make the right choice!

Good evening
I have just acquired the customizer 1100 0 as well
To transform a JPEG or other image into JEF, you can use the Adobe Photoshop Elements 5 software if you have it, by transforming the JPEG into a Bitmap (BMP)
Open Adobe, go to File
Open
Click on all files, choose BMP and save, renaming the image
Then File > Save As in the folder you chose
However, I’m having trouble converting the lines of an imported image
Do you know if there are training sites for this embroidery software, which in my opinion isn’t very user-friendly for a beginner like me.
Sincerely
Amelie

Hi Gautier,
So I’m not familiar at all with embroidery software… but if you want a .bmp or .jpg or even .png file, nothing could be simpler: you just take a screenshot.
To do this, press the "Print Screen" key on your keyboard when you have your .jef file on screen, then go to Paint:
Windows key + R / type: mspaint / right-click and paste into the white area of Paint... then finally save in the format of your choice.
Good luck.

I am a new user (15 days) but I’ve already done wonderful things - me too the program says not found but I keep going and the image displays fine despite the message... sometimes you have to know how to ignore it....
