Hello,
I'm working on Numbers, and I'm unable to perform an operation:
I created a table in which values are listed next to a checkbox. Below these values, I have a cell that sums all the values. I would like it so that if the checkbox is checked, the value is taken into account, and it is counted as 0 when the checkbox is not checked.
Is this possible?
Configuration: Mac OS X (10.9.4) / Chrome 37.0.2062.120

Hello,
I don’t know if it’s possible directly, but personally, I use a trick that involves placing an additional column right next to the values column, and that will be the one to consider for the total. This column contains the result of the cell that holds the value multiplied by the checkbox, knowing that a checked box is worth 1 by default. So, if the box is not checked, the result cell will contain 0, while the one opposite the checked box will contain the value to be considered.
Example:
There may be another solution, but I haven’t looked for it; I always use this rather simple method.
If you click on the image, you will see it in a larger size.
Best regards
