Smart TV and adding apps?

Hello,

Does it work like with Android tablets?

I have had a device like this for about fifteen days. Connected to a network with a router with 2 PCs and a decoder.
In fact, I absolutely do not need to use this TV for the web.
I put myself in the shoes of someone who doesn't have a PC. How to add software?
This TV has a semblance of an integrated browser. Yes, but it’s not Firefox or IE or Chrome.

To access Google, I first have to type the address of Google etc... completely with http and www, no shortcuts possible.

This TV has a list of pre-installed applications. It also has an app store. Very limited. Just a few limited things. Understandable. A small portion of what you can find on Orange or Canalsat for free, of course. I didn't even find Google in there. On the other hand, Skype and all social networks are there. A very people-oriented app choice.
The web with this kind of device is a gimmick. I didn't buy it for that... This is not a complaint...

With Android, if I can't find a software in the official app store, well, I can always find anything in apk format on the web, if it exists, and even bypass the blocks put in place by Google.
With a Smart TV, can we do the same? What is the extension that characterizes installable software and how can they be integrated into the list of possible apps? It will install if it’s in the library, but it has to be placed there.

Just for fun.

Have a good evening.

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 31.0

Hello.
On my Smart TV I have IE as a browser and I can have Google as the search engine instead of Bing.
But I don't think that's possible (adding apps or software) a smart TV has integrated internet, with a bunch of apps but it’s not a computer.
