Hello,

Today, while rummaging through my phone, I found some ".nomedia" files.
After a fruitless search on the Internet, I didn't find anything conclusive or really explicit.
So my question is as follows: Can we open a .nomedia file? If so, how?

But your link doesn't provide me with any answers, I still don't know how to open a .nomedia and especially if it's possible.

Okay, but as you can read, because apparently you have this ability, it states that these files are EMPTY and there is nothing to open...
For your information, I also have this type of file, but it doesn't intrigue me; it's Android that creates it for its operation!

Was it so complicated to reply directly?

I found this morning on my tablet a folder containing photos that were renamed by the app as .nomedia (I have no idea why...) anyway, it looked something like "imagename.jpg.nomedia", a format that was obviously not openable either by the tablet or the computer. I simply had to rename each photo and video by deleting the .nomedia at the end. I was then able to open all the photos/videos like usual. Maybe this is the type of file Morzulak was talking about?
