Hello,

I have also just received a "new" Macbook and here is my problem.

When I try to download an application (Free YouTube Downloader), in this case, I receive a message that says:
Can't open the application "FreeYoutubeDownloaderInstalleiIC.exe" because Microsoft Windows applications are not supported by OS X...

What should I do?
What is OS X?
What is exe?

So... it would be great if someone could help me!! ;)
THANK YOU!!

Configuration: Mac OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2) / Safari 6.0.1

Is it a fake?

I will answer you simply because it would be too long.

So your software is an exe, executable, so it is made for Windows. On Mac, I don't really know how it works, but if your program was made for Mac, you wouldn't have this message.

Also, OS stands for operating system (Windows, Mac, Linux...)

Sorry, I don't know anything about Mac, I’ll leave you a page that might be interesting:

Keep me posted
