Check without mouse :'(

Hello,
if I don't use a mouse, I can manage by using the keyboard to move to the next one with the tab key and the arrows, but once I reach a checkbox to select, I can only check it by plugging in a mouse. Is there a keyboard shortcut to check it? ctrl + ? or something else?
