How does that happen?

Hello,

I realize there is a difference in the displays.

as a member (on Xp): https://dl.dropbox.com/u/61321179/new%20interface.jpg

and, as a "contrib" (on seven): https://dl.dropbox.com/u/61321179/new%20interface%20b.jpg

Can you explain this phenomenon to me?

Hello Cbauf

Could it be due to an Adblock or NoScript present on one and not on the other?

Cya

p.s.: I admit that being saved from web2 by my old o.s. does make me smile a bit after all!

When editing images, we avoid leaving pixelated areas around and in the frames.

But this could give ideas to the site manager...

P.S.: I am sure I have already published this message, but there are no notifications of deleted messages.

The chair/keyboard interface is the most difficult to configure.

Image manipulation? What are you talking about?

When you zoom in, you can clearly see the pixels that don't match the rest.

lol

anyway
as Claude mentioned earlier, I think it's Adblock that's causing this

I just tested it with IE while logged in, nothing
when not logged in, I have these images

with Mozilla logged in, nothing
Mozilla logged out, nothing

You're welcome, it's the "chair/keyboard interface" that must have heated up ;-DD

I don't see what you're talking about, Rafit. No pixels that don't align for me.

It's not related to AdBlock apparently, but to whether or not Rossi is connected. See you!

Okay, I just saw that it only appears under Internet Explorer when you are not connected...

And only under Internet Explorer.

Hello
Personally... with the same PC running win7, Firefox with adblock
if I am not logged in, I find myself (under the first question only) with the thumbnails indicated here https://dl.dropbox.com/u/61321179/new%20interface.jpg
And links to Facebook and the newsletter at the bottom of the page https://www.cjoint.com/?BHrrlJSrQed
As a member, none of that anymore (neither the thumbnails nor at the bottom of the page)...
A test without Adblock ==> same
Tests under IE9 same plus these things if logged in.

Note... The small thumbnails are not present everywhere... could it be messages that have been "upvoted" via Facebook that are rewarded with these things for non-members???

I'm asking the question to the higher-ups... but it's vacation time so... it might be worth waiting..

I find it bizarre that it is only visible in IE and when not logged in...

A test?
A bug in the function that must be disabled by default?
Waiting for feedback from the webmasters.

RE
Question for Cbauf
you write :
as a member (on Xp) : https://dl.dropbox.com/u/61321179/new%20interface.jpg

are you sure you are properly connected in your example on XP...

For now, it seems that this is intentional (thumbnails only for non-members) also related to the fact that the display is sorted by "Vote" and that there is at least one best answer ==> display on the answers otherwise, if there are no answers or no votes (technical forums on the question).
For discussion forums, it is on the question since there is no voting...
Hoping I have accurately relayed the information given to me

To everyone,

a few clarifications:

I have the Adblock Plus extension on both machines, one running XP and the other running Seven,

with 2 separate connections, one via WiFi and the other using a 3G key.

On Seven, I have WOT, which is not present on XP

The XP machine has Avira Free with the recent addition of "internet monitoring," while the Seven machine has Norton 360 as the antivirus.

Firefox is up to date on both machines, version 14.0.1 (I do not use IE)

I have 2 CCM accounts, one as a regular member, and the other as cbauf, which is recognized as a contributor.

I specify that there are no edits on the screenshots provided, the only addition on my part is the red lines.

I follow the CCM news on FB (subscribed through cbauf).

And when I log in (as a member) today, the mentioned links [G+ Tweet FB] no longer appear
while they are there when I am anonymous!?
So, regarding Baladur's question,
(just to clarify, my nickname is: cbauf and not Chauf; the b is next to the h on a keyboard ;D)

#18 doubt starts to settle! but I thought I was logged in as a member, otherwise I wouldn't have raised the issue.

P.S.: the only update today is antivir.

@ Rafit... change your carpet, it must be tainted :-)
