Message "Input not supported" displayed Solved

Question

Hello,  I recently replaced my screen with a new one because the old one was dead. No way to turn it on.  So I installed a plug and play from emachines.  When I tried to turn the computer back on after 6 months of inactivity, once the updates were installed, I wanted to play my game "The Night of the Sacrificed", a Sherlock Holmes investigation.  I was unpleasantly surprised to see "Input not supported" appear on the black screen, with hardly anything I could do except force the PC to shut down.  I uninstalled the game, cleaned everything, and reinstalled it after restarting the computer.  Same problem.  I lowered the screen resolution, updated the graphics card, I tried so many things that I don’t know what else to do.  Before changing the screen, everything was fine. I don’t understand anything anymore.  Any ideas to help me or should I give up on this game for good?  For your information, other games work. So why doesn’t this one want to work like before despite several uninstall/reinstall attempts?  Thank you in advance for your help. It's easy, you just need to configure your screens, otherwise try updating it.

Hello, maybe the cable connecting the tower to the screen is dead? Otherwise, look at other topics?

Well, I've tried a hell of a lot of settings for the screen, but nothing works.  The cable would be to blame even though the problem only happens with this game?  Otherwise, do I need to test each resolution one by one? I've tried almost all of them...

Houuu....  By hand?  Can I change the resolution or the display settings on the screen itself?  Because I have sound, but no image. And the user manual isn't exactly clear with E-Machines... It's an e 190HQVb from e-machines.  What do you think I should change? Which settings?

Now, I still have sound, but the message is displayed in French.  It says "unsupported frequencies".  What is that?

I just did a restoration with a lot of difficulties (hard to access safe mode, very slow system, even frozen) after several attempts to make adjustments due to lack of sound advice.  So should I just throw the game in the trash and forget about it or will someone eventually give me advice?  Please......

Well, I reformatted everything and lost everything that had been done before, due to a lack of effective help.  I lost everything and now I’m left with a computer without my previous documents.  Thanks anyway for the help..........  Not cool...

Hello  I also have this message that keeps coming up (input not supported) since I started playing an old game (Snood) again. It’s clear that it’s the game that’s causing the mess. No cable issues or anything like that. I have to restart the computer or sometimes just turning off and turning on the screen is enough. The real solution is not to use games that are not supported by the graphics card. Input not supported!!!!!!!

Of course!  The game is not infected, and the PC has no issues. It was just a matter of adjusting the screen, which I can't do without help; I've had partial assistance but never for the problem with adjusting my new screen.  The game was working perfectly fine before the screen change, and then it suddenly became incompatible?  After completely reformatting the computer and therefore losing all previous data, some of which I cared about a bit, the screen adjusted itself, and everything is working (for the game) normally.  So, the 6 exclamation points at the end of the message make me smile as they remind me of a little moral lesson like: "You're not listening to what we’re telling you!!!!!!"  I would have preferred more technical help than this kind of ambiguous remark.  Unless I misinterpreted the 6 exclamation points... Who knows...?  Thank you anyway to tunisiano4115 and alexalexalex5050 for trying to help me as best they could.
