Hello,
I have a problem with Cobian BackUp: it is supposed to back up one of my folders (on my laptop) to my wife's desktop. Both PCs communicate via Wifi through the Freebox. Cobian was able to make two backups, but since October, it hasn’t backed anything up (I just realized the problem!!)
Here’s what the task log indicates when I force the backup:
2011-04-24 21:20 This may just be an excerpt from the log file. To see the full file, select "Logs-View log files"
2011-04-24 21:20 ***A new backup has started. Number of tasks in the queue: 1 ***
2011-04-24 21:20 Preventing the system from entering sleep mode
2011-04-24 21:20 Applying settings to the task "Techno Backup"
2011-04-24 21:20 ** Starting backup for the task "Techno Backup" **
2011-04-24 21:20 Calculating the number of files to back up for the task "Techno Backup"
2011-04-24 21:20 Starting the "Volume Shadow Copy" snapshot for drives :D:\.
2011-04-24 21:20 The "Volume Shadow Copy" snapshot was created successfully.
2011-04-24 21:21 Creating destination folder "\\Corinne1\ARCHIV_MIKE\Technologie_nouveaux_programmes 2011-04-24 21;20;58 (Incremental.)"
ERR 2011-04-24 21:21 Cannot create destination folder "\\Corinne1\ARCHIV_MIKE\Technologie_nouveaux_programmes 2011-04-24 21;20;58 (Incremental.)": The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect
2011-04-24 21:21 The historical file for "Techno Backup" will not be backed up because the result of the backup is empty.
2011-04-24 21:21 Deleting the "Volume Shadow Copy" "794700a5-91ff-4ed7-a7d7-a14992240395"
2011-04-24 21:21 The "Volume Shadow Copy" was deleted successfully.
2011-04-24 21:21 *** Task "Techno Backup" finished. Processed files: 0. Backed up files: 0. Errors: 1 ***
2011-04-24 21:21 ** The backup for "Techno Backup" is complete. Time elapsed for the task: 0
Thank you for your help

Hello,
Have you checked that the network path actually exists or that it still exists?
Could there be a permissions issue?
Has a password been changed?
Is the remote PC turned on at the time of the backup?
Is the destination drive full?

I’m a PC, Windows 7 wasn't my idea and I don't need it!
