Videos can be downloaded with NetTransport.

- Locate the XML file containing the video stream URL (by viewing the page source code, or by looking at the list of filterable elements with Adblock Plus, for example.)
Here, it is the file

It contains the following line:

The video stream URL is therefore

- Download this stream with NetTransport.
The video should automatically be renamed to ".flv".

Here’s how to proceed in a few steps to download videos from Canal-U:
1- Install Firefox (if it is not yet installed on your PC)
2- Install Foxreal YouTube FLV Downloader on your PC
3- Enter the URL of the video page you want to download in the Firefox address bar;
4- Copy and paste this link into the address bar of Foxreal YouTube FLV Downloader;
5- Once the page containing the file is open in Foxreal YouTube FLV Downloader, click on the video; the URL will appear at the bottom of Foxreal YouTube FLV Downloader;
6- Once Foxreal YouTube FLV Downloader has displayed the URL, all you need to do is click on the green arrow pointing down at the bottom of Foxreal YouTube FLV Downloader next to the displayed URL;

I confirm for Stream Transport! It works perfectly and it's much simpler than Net Transport. You can go for it with your eyes closed.

I think this system doesn't work for everything. I tried with the following video: http://www.canal-u.education.fr/producteurs/les_amphis_de_france_5/dossier_programmes/psychologie/regards_sur_la_psychologie_sociale_experimentale/la_non_assistance_a_personne_en_danger

So I ended up with the address rtmpt://mediaFM01.cines.fr/3517/cerimes/amphis/1845814277

But Net Transport doesn't start the download...

Any ideas?

In the meantime, the only means available to me is to use software that allows for screen capture such as "Replay Video Capture"

You need to copy, into the "address" bar of your IE, a command line found in a file linked on the video page. Then, you will need to modify the prefix and add a suffix to this line. Hit "Enter." A window will open asking you "open, save, cancel," click "save" and set the location.
