Difference between freeware and shareware.

I'd like to know the differences between gratuiciel, partagiciel, and other names that we see on websites because I don't know the differences and what is free. Thank you.

    The freeware is free, sometimes the author asks for a small optional fee

    The shareware can be tried for free and if it suits you, you pay the requested price
