Solved

Hello,
I have noticed that I always have connection problems when sending emails on this hotel network: after entering their passwords, I get internet access and my messaging works for incoming emails (I receive my messages) but I can't send anything.
What should I do (I'm using Outlook Express)
Thank you

Hello
Email accounts use two servers. A POP server for receiving mail and an SMTP server for sending it.
When you are at home, Outlook connects to your ISP's SMTP server, and it accepts the connection since you are on their network.
When you are outside, your Outlook tries to send your emails through your ISP's SMTP server, but since you are not on their network, they refuse the connection.
For security reasons, SMTP servers refuse relay, which means sending emails using their SMTP servers from connections outside their network.

To send emails, if you can, use your ISP's webmail interface, or create an account with a free webmail service like Hotmail, Gmail, or others.

Hello

I have Windows 7 with Outlook 2010 and my ISP is orange.fr + personal server for a second address.
My SMTP server is smtp.orange.fr
In Outlook, go to TOOLS/ACCOUNT SETTINGS/Mail tab
Choose the email account you want to send your email from and double-click on it. You will arrive at a new window MODIFY YOUR MAIL ACCOUNT. Click on the bottom left on MORE SETTINGS. Go to the OUTGOING SERVER tab and check the box MY OUTGOING SMTP SERVER REQUIRES AUTHENTICATION
Confirm, click on TEST MY ACCOUNT SETTINGS, if it works, restart SEND/RECEIVE and you're good to go.

There you go.

You can also ask Campanile to provide you with the domain name of their SMTP server, but you need to change it each time in Outlook depending on whether you are at home or at the hotel. And the Campanile staff need to know what an SMTP server is.
