My WiFi router displays: http://192.168.0.1. What’s that?

Good evening,

I bought a Netgear DG 834 G wifi router. To configure it, I need to connect to http://192.168.0.1.

I have been unable to display the page for 2 days.

Can someone tell me what to do?

Thank you very much.

Hello,

Read this article first: https://www.commentcamarche.net/maison/box-connexion-internet/643-192-168-0-1-192-168-1-1-192-168-0-254-comment-acceder-a-une-box-internet/

I would try this:
  • turn off the router by unplugging the power supply (wait a few seconds)
  • plug the power supply back in (and if there is a power button, turn it on) and wait a few seconds for it to finish initializing...
  • press the small reset button on the back of the router (wait a few seconds for it to finish its reset operation)
  • once again, turn off the router by unplugging the power supply (wait a bit)
  • plug the power supply back in (and if there is a power button, turn it on)
  • finally, from the PC, try to access it by typing http://192.168.0.1 in an Internet Explorer window.

If after all this, Internet still responds "Unable to find the server ... Unable to display the page", I believe it would be simpler to return it to the seller (unfortunately)...
Good luck
Ph.
