Update the maps of the MyGuide 3100 GPS.

Hello,

I just ordered the MyGuide 3100 Europe GPS and I don't know how to renew the maps on the GPS, nor if it's possible to download a detection of fixed speed cameras.

Additionally, I can't find any reviews on it.

Could you please provide me with any information you might have?

    I have the July 2007 version, Europe is 1 GB, you need to load a 1 GB SD card
    for the radars you need to go to

    Bonjour, j'ai un GPS My Guide 3100 Europe avec radar et je voudrais faire une mise à jour de ma carte. On m'a dit que je pouvais le faire avec le CD d'installation, mais je ne l'ai pas. Pouvez-vous m'aider, ce serait sympa.

        If you are using Myguide 6.1, you need to place the new file "speedcam.txt" IN
        the internal flash disk of the GPS (in: flash disk/myguide/poi/speedcam)
        and not on the external SD card

        you need to connect the GPS via USB and use Active Sync 4.5

      I have the same GPS 3100 for a year now but without the map of France.
      Would you be kind enough to help me with a compatible map of France for this type of GPS? It would be very nice if you could burn the CD for me. I’m willing to cover the costs.

      I bought it from e-shopdiscount but if you want my opinion, I regret it and I would never dare to go there again. When you don’t have issues with the package everything is fine, but the hassle starts when you claim something! They send you completely packing. I speak from experience, though I can't detail everything here.

      Have you changed vehicles? Do you have a thermal windshield?
      The GPS antenna is on the top edge next to the power button
      and it must face the sky
      try to test the GPS outside

      if it's really an antenna capture issue you can buy an external GPS antenna
      with MMCX connector (10 euros online)

      if the device has been turned off for several days or the battery drained it needs to rebuild
      its satellite library, on a cold start this can take several minutes

      also do a reset with the button on the back

      All maps of France from all known GPS are made by the company Tele Atlas.
      I don't know anything more about this subject.

    By the way, do you happen to know how to insert maps of other countries, because I want to go to Portugal and all the countries are grayed out on my DVD. I can't find the maps on the internet or they are unavailable.

    Could you let me know if you know a way?
