Hello,
I just bought Lost Planet, and now I need to download it on Steam. At first, it tells me it will take 8 hours at 250kb, but I’m only getting a maximum of 12.5kb!!! If it keeps going like this, I’ll have it in 20 years and it’s really frustrating!
So if you can help me with this issue, thank you!Configuration: Windows Vista

Hi there and everyone else, I think a lot of people have this problem and I just found the solution myself.
So I bought Left 4 Dead, downloading at 40 to 60 kb/s and after 30% I was fed up and found this:
So I recommend this option, by the time I found this forum and posted, I had only done 15%. But I still went down, I was up to 1.5Mb/s and now I'm at 1.1Mb/s which is still quite reasonable (I also disabled my firewall during the download).
So to all those who've come across this topic without an answer, try this!
(There's no risk, the .blob file regenerates when you reconnect.)

- Log out of Steam (disconnect)
- Delete a small blob file in C:/Program Files/Steam/ClientRegistry.blob and then restart Steam, normally it will ask for your password again and do some updates, then check the download page and BAM 1.4Mb/s Oo.
