Hello,

Our company uses axcrypt to encrypt sensitive files.
But for that it is necessary to use the Microsoft Windows operating system.

Is it possible to encrypt and decrypt this type of file (.axx) under Linux?
If yes, what should be used?

Thanks in advance

Apparently it is possible to use the software with the "emulator" Wine.

Does AxCrypt run on Linux/Mac? No, not directly it does not. However, some users have been successful in running AxCrypt under Wine, the Windows emulator.

Hello,

which Linux distribution is the PC running?

otherwise you can try launching AxCrypt via Wine, a Windows emulation software.

or another possibility, decrypt the files via Windows, re-encrypt them with GnuPG, knowing that GnuPG is compatible with Linux / Windows

axcrypt uses standard algorithms:
https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/AxCrypt

You are therefore not obliged to use axcrypt to decrypt the files.
