Fax when I want to print!!!

Hello,
I just reinstalled my Canon iP 3000 printer after some time off. Of course, I lost the installation disc and had to search for the driver online..
But now that my computer recognizes it, when I try to print something, that damn computer tells me everything is ready to send a fax!!!
So I'm hoping someone can solve the problem, thanks in advance.....
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Good evening...
First, check in the configuration panel if the "fax machine" isn't represented with a small sign that means "default"...
It's very likely...
You need to uncheck "use by default" and check that same line on the TRUE printer...
That should work!

I'm using Open Office Writer and I would like to have a fax header like in Word. How do I do that?
