Why am I not receiving all the SMS/texts from a contact?

Hello,
My phone isn't receiving certain SMS messages. Let me explain. It only seems to not receive certain texts from a person I've been exchanging messages with recently. This is the first time this has happened to me, and they're the only person I notice this with, but when they send me a message, sometimes I get it normally, and other times, I don't receive it at all. My phone doesn't notify me or anything. What's strange is that the delivery reports show "Delivered" on that person's phone while nothing comes through to mine. However, I have no problem sending my messages to them.
If someone could help me resolve this issue, it's really inconvenient...
I have a Motorola SLVR L7 on Orange, and the other phone is a Nokia 5300, also on Orange. I'm not sure what could be causing this, whether it's one of our phones, the SIM card, an issue during the transfer, or something with the networks...

"I had the same problem as you, and here's the solution I found (hoping it will help you). I have a Samsung, and in the messaging menu => settings => SMS => block number, there was the number of the recipient who was no longer receiving my messages, (ended up there due to a mistake when deleting a received message). Remove it from the list of blocked numbers and it will work again!

Personally, I went to messages-->settings-->general settings-->block messages. There was the number of my contact whose messages I wasn't receiving, I deleted it and it's good :)
