I am using the Epicea accounting software and my contact person has passed away. I would like to know the name of someone who handles the maintenance of this software.

How to find someone who still provides maintenance:

1. Look for former Épicéa resellers

Several independent technicians have long provided installation and maintenance for the software. They can often be found through:

  • Yellow Pages (search: "Épicéa accounting software maintenance")

  • Accounting forums

  • Small local companies specializing in management software

2. Contact a local accounting firm

Many firms used Épicéa in the 2000-2010s. They often know a technician still active.

3. Look for service providers that offer migration from Épicéa

Some providers offer migrations to Ciel, EBP, Sage, etc. They are often the same people who still know how to troubleshoot Épicéa.

Do you have any other threads to dig up to make the most of your AI subscription?

The software seemed to be free on a number of software libraries, for example here:

Looking elsewhere than in an AI (or searching thoroughly), you would have noticed that it dates back to the early 2000s and that its publisher (Legrain SA in Montauban) has gone out of business.

I don't see what kind of maintenance could be obtained under these conditions, especially since the perpetual new social and fiscal standards certainly make it obsolete, with no one able to modify the code.
